Ukrfavorit, together with the organizers of the International Industrial Forum and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), held a Student Summit.
The idea behind the event is to popularize technical professions and provide young people with opportunities to work at industrial enterprises in Ukraine.
The purpose of the student summit:
- To attract students from foundry, mechanical engineering, and industrial universities and faculties to the exhibition.
- Provide an opportunity for active enterprises (exhibitors) to present their company.
- Answer young people’s questions about the foundry industry.
- To give students practical knowledge on how to look for a job and how to present themselves at interviews.
The event consisted of two parts:
- “Living Library” – where industrial enterprises held company presentations and talked about the shortage of qualified personnel.
- “Panel Discussion” – where speakers gave presentations.
The summit brought together professionals in their field: heads of universities, heads of industrial enterprises, representatives of the Digital sphere and development organizations.
The following spoke to the students:
- Isayeva Olena, owner of Ukrfavorit LLC, presentation on the topic: “Trends of the Future”
- Volodymyr Ternovsky, Labor Potential Development Manager of the USAID Project “Economic Support for Eastern Ukraine”, presentation on the topic: Opportunities for Youth within the USAID Project “Economic Support for Eastern Ukraine”
- Tetyana Dayub, Digital Marketer, Freelancer, Presentation on the Topic: “Personal Brand: So That Employers Hunt for You”
- Tetyana Knyshevska, HR manager, crisis manager, project manager, board member of the Melitopol Business Women’s Club, presentation on the topic: “Modern trends in team formation. How to be that handsome guy?!”
The bright finale of the summit was the debut performance of the rock band “THE ARCHETYPE”, founded by students of the Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
The student summit was beneficial for everyone, as all participants had the opportunity to engage in a broad dialogue, share knowledge and experience, and make useful professional contacts.
For young people, this is a unique chance to communicate with top professionals in their field, get answers to questions, personally meet employers who are truly interested in qualified personnel, and spend time with maximum benefit for self-development and their future.
