The history of LLC “Ukrfavorit” began in 2008 in Donetsk, when its founder Olena Isaeva aimed to provide Ukrainian foundry enterprises with high-quality European materials. The company is based on English traditions, because England has been famous for high-quality casting since ancient times.
The main direction of activity is the supply of materials and equipment for foundry enterprises, technological support of production. The Ukrfavorit team is an expert in the implementation of the CTS process, the essence of which is the manufacture of molds and cores using cold-hardening mixtures.
Step by step, and now, the small company Ukrfavorit has already become a leader among suppliers of materials. But, unfortunately, 2014 brought its own adjustments and the company had to reduce its turnover. Due to the unstable situation in Donetsk, the management decided to evacuate the company and its staff to Melitopol. Having settled in the new city, the business activity went uphill, and even surpassed the previous indicators! The city of Melitopol received not only a new successful company, but also an increase in tax contributions to the budget, because Ukrfavorit has received the “Best Taxpayer” award for several years in a row, and the owner, Olena Isayeva, the “Best Entrepreneur of the Year” award! In recent years, the company and its employees have received many awards from local authorities.
The company worked tirelessly, becoming larger and more successful every year:
- increased the number of customers and sales volumes
- organized new departments and expanded the team almost 2 times compared to 2014
- moved to a new modern office
- expanded warehouse facilities
- regularly participated in exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad
- acted as a sponsor and organizer of specialized exhibitions, PR events and educational thematic events for youth
- organized foreign business trips for employees to improve their skills
- received foreign delegations in their office for the purpose of further cooperation and popularization of Ukrainian foundries
- made plans for the development of the foundry industry at the state level and entry into European markets.
The company had grand plans for 2022, all projects were already approved and ready for implementation. An interview with Elena Isayeva for a business channel was scheduled for February 24, after which the entire team was to gather for a big meeting about the planned projects.
The morning of February 24… no comments… Of course, the interview was canceled, but the management meeting took place. It was decided that Ukrfavorit’s activities would be suspended until the situation in Melitopol stabilized. A week passed, followed by a second, and then a month. The city continued to be under occupation and there was no question of resuming activities under such conditions. Under such conditions, it was impossible to make deliveries, as well as replenish stocks in the warehouse, because the company cooperates exclusively with the manufacturer of high-quality foundry products EUROTEK (Great Britain).
Throughout the entire period of forced downtime, Ukrfavorit was constantly receiving requests not only from regular customers, but also from new ones. The country’s foundry industry faced a shortage of materials. After assessing the situation, a decision was made to move, because staying in Melitopol, the company could not fulfill its main mission:
“To make the foundryman’s work easier and the products better, through the power of English tradition and advanced technology.”
It was not possible to take out even a part of everything acquired over the years of the company’s activity. The company suffered great losses of financial, material and labor resources. At the new location, the company had to organize its work almost from scratch:
- equip an office
- provide employees with housing and everything necessary for work
- reorganize the work of departments
- find a warehouse for storing products with appropriate conditions
- to resume cooperation with suppliers
- resume work with clients
- plan the financial part
Overcoming difficulties, but with confidence in a successful future, Ukrfavorit Company resumed its business activities on April 1, 2022.
The company’s director shared his thoughts and conclusions about working during this difficult time:
“In 2022, we realized that:
- Difficulties change the perspective on familiar things and stimulate the emergence of new ideas.
- There is a way out of even the worst situation, but it directly depends on our desire and efforts for these changes.
- We need to work and support Ukraine’s economy even in wartime

The owner of the company also expressed her opinion, answering a question about how the company has already managed to resume successful operations twice after moving:
