The third meeting of the city coordination council for business development was held at the Melitopol Development Agency.
In particular, the authorities and business discussed the organization of a business visit of representatives of Melitopol enterprises to Saxony, the participation of our entrepreneurs in various industrial exhibitions held with the support of the city authorities, the cooperation of machine-building enterprises of the city and the district with the Distag company (Ireland), and the creation of industrial parks in Melitopol.
It’s no secret that participating in exhibitions is one of the most powerful means of presenting any enterprise and attracting new customers.
Thus, the XX International Industrial Forum was held in Kyiv from November 16 to 19. The forum brought together representatives of 250 enterprises from 18 countries of the world, who were located on 15 thousand square meters of exhibition space.
Ten Melitopol enterprises participated in the forum, including Ukrfavorit LLC and Turbocom MZTK. Four enterprises were paid for their participation in the forum by the city authorities.
According to the head of LLC “Ukrfavorit” Olena Isayeva, such forums and exhibitions are very useful for promoting products. And this thesis is supported by specific figures. In just one week after the forum, Ukrfavorit sold products to new partners for 636 thousand. UAH.
In order for Melitopol to stand out at such exhibitions, entrepreneurs and city authorities decided to create a single universal stand, the production of which will be paid for by the city.
According to the mayor Ivan Fedorov, the main areas that will be taken into account in the development of the stand are mechanical engineering, tourism and agriculture. The mayor instructed the development of a universal stand to the MZTK “Turbokom”. Ivan Fedorov appealed to business representatives with a request to make their request for participation in exhibitions:
– In order for Melitopol to sound, the simplest marketing moves are needed: motivated owners, the brightest and most versatile stand, which will present about 20 enterprises of the city, trained personnel. But this is only the desire of the owners of the enterprises. I would like to highlight 5-7 targeted industrial exhibitions that are planned for next year to consolidate the efforts of business and government and present Melitopol as effectively as possible, – said Ivan Fedorov.
Director of the Melitopol Development Agency Iryna Slavova shared the first results of cooperation between the machine-building enterprises of the city and the district with the Distag company (Ireland). Thus, there are already the first clients in Ireland who are interested in ordering spare parts for automotive and agricultural machinery.
A representative of the Distag company and a USAID expert have already planned a visit to Melitopol on December 6-8. During the visit, the guests will visit 9 Melitopol companies with which they plan to cooperate in the future.
The coordination council also discussed the creation of two industrial parks in the city. The first of them will appear at the entrance to Melitopol from the Berdyansk side.
