From November 5 to 8, 2025, the owner of Ukrfavorit LLC, Olena Vyacheslavivna Isayeva, visited one of the largest industrial exhibitions in Asia – DMP Greater Bay Area Industrial Expo, which was held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Shenzhen, China).
DMP is a large-scale international platform that annually brings together more than 170 thousand participants and visitors from all over the world and demonstrates the latest solutions in the field of Industry 5.0: automation, robotics, metalworking, 3D printing, digital manufacturing, and smart factories.
Participation in the exhibition also had an important strategic goal: the company owner attended DMP 2025 as part of a search for potential partners capable of opening up new opportunities for Ukrfavorit in the areas of casting, casting production, attracting new customers, and entering international markets.
The exhibition format made it possible to assess possible prospects and determine which technological and commercial solutions could be useful for the future development of the company.
Exhibition features and working conditions
During the event, a number of key aspects were noted that are important for companies to consider:
- Language barrier. The vast majority of Chinese companies do not speak English. A translator is essential for productive work.
- Internet restrictions. Google, YouTube, social networks, and a large number of international websites do not work in China. For communication and navigation, you must install Chinese applications in advance.
- Lack of access to sites. Chinese companies cannot view resources, including the Ukrfavorit website. The only effective tool for interaction is creating a corporate profile on WeChat.
- Technological level. The exhibition demonstrates the large-scale development of automation, robotics, 3D printing, and smart manufacturing – in line with Industry 5.0 trends.
- The complexity of logistics. Bank cards don’t work, Wi-Fi is limited, navigation disappears. To access the internet, it is important to have a Chinese SIM card.
Specific industrial topics. The exhibition was dominated by centrifugal casting and injection molding stands. CTS processes, sands, and modifiers were minimally represented.
Conclusions
Participation in the DMP Greater Bay Area Industrial Expo 2025 allowed us to assess the real technological level of China, get acquainted with innovations, and understand the peculiarities of the local market.
At the same time, the exhibition showed that:
- working in China requires specific training, including digital (local accounts), language and logistics;
- For real B2B contacts, it is recommended to choose international exhibitions focused on the European market (GIFA, Poland).
DMP is a valuable platform primarily for studying future technologies and industry trends, but not for establishing new partnerships.
